What is this calculator used for?

This is a general-purpose dilution calculator based on the M1V1 = M2V2 formula. It can be used for pesticides, fertilizers, cleaning solutions, or any situation where you need to dilute a stock solution to a target concentration.

Can I use different units for concentration and volume?

Yes, as long as you are consistent. The units for the starting and final concentrations must be the same (e.g., both are percentages or both are PPM). Similarly, the units for the volumes must be consistent (e.g., the final volume and the calculated volumes will all be in gallons).
